DURATION

  • 36 months
  • Training – combination of face to face and online and on the job training under the direction of a workplace supervisor
  • Assessment – theory assessment and practical observations conducted on site or in simulated environments
  • Eligible students funded under the CSQ Skills & Gap Training Courses Program must have all assessment completed and submitted by the 31st August 2026

FEES & FUNDING

  • Apprentices Under 25 - Fees Free
  • Apprentices Over 25 - Student Fees Apply
  • Fee for Service Skills and Gap Training (RPL) - $2,500 for the skills assessment and three units of gap training. $450 per additional unit.
  • CSQ Co contribution Fee - $500.00
  • Administration Fee - $50.00

This qualification is designed to meet the needs of workers who undertake waterproofing for residential and commercial construction work. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work, construction waterproofing. Waterproofers apply membranes and special coatings to protect contents and the structural integrity of buildings.
