This qualification provides a trade outcome in solid plastering for residential and commercial work. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work, solid plastering. Solid plasterers apply plaster, cement and other mixtures to walls to create smooth or decorative finishes to interior walls and to render to exterior walls.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This qualification is open to apprentices eligible for funding under the Queensland Government User Choice program and students seeking recognition of prior learning through the CSQ Skills and Gap Training Building initiative.

DURATION

  • 36 months
  • Training – combination of face to face and online and on the job training under the direction of a workplace supervisor
  • Assessment – theory assessment and practical observations conducted on site or in simulated environments
  • Eligible students funded under the CSQ Skills & Gap Training Courses Program must have all assessment completed and submitted by the 15th of September 2022
